Jet lag: how can we avoid it
Jet lag is one of the most common problems in long distance flight, that couse us moving to a different time zone. In general, the more time zones we pass in a flight, the worse jet lag symptoms we get.
The symptoms for jet lag
The common symptoms of a jet lag are lack of sleeping, exhaustion, loss of concentration, lost of appetite, or desire for food in unusual hours.
but, how can we avoid, or at least reduce jet lag? here are some tips the you should follow, if you fly intercontinental flight.
- Have a good rest and night sleep, before the flight
- After you get to the destination – go to sleep, even if it is the middle of the day.
- If you have time, give your self a day or two, to get use to the new time zone
- Avoid alcohol during the flight
- If you fly on a night flight, and don’t have tine to rest after reaching the destination, try to sleep during the flight. If necessary, give up the flight movies..
- Nap and drink coffee. In an article published in the ny times, experts says that drinking coffee, before naping, will help us wake after a short nap – fill with energy.
