Lost luggage: avoid it, find it
Lost luggage is one of the things that frights us the most before a flight. Every year, airlines loses millions suitcases, and every one knows a story about a ruin trip, because of a lost suitcase. All together, around 0.5%-2% of the airlines luggage doesn’t reach the destination. Here are tips that help you get thru the next time an airline lose your luggage: How to make it easier to locate, what is better to keep in your hand bag, and what kind of insurance you can buy for the luggage.
1. What you don’t want to put in the suitcase you deposit during check-in:
- money, credit card, airline ticket
- joules and breakable stuff
- House key or car keys
- Food product – that can get very smelly after a while
- liquids that can wet our bag
- things that you need right after the flight (Hotel voucher etc.)
2. Prepare your suitcase for the flight:
- In side the suitcase – insert a paper with all your contact details. If some one will find it, he can reach you.
- Use lockers so it can’t be open easily
- Mark it – with a colorful ribbon or something similar
- there is a world wide system to locate your suitcase
- inside the suitcase – a paper with your details..
- Don’t lose the stickers on your flight ticket, passport or boarding ticket: you will find there your luggage i.d.
- A regular travel insurance should be enough. In addition, the airline should compensate you as well for your lost. By the way – while in transit, the last airlines the flight you, is the one who responsible for your belongings.

The FBI’s COINTELPRO program took this beyond propaganda into active psychological warfare against the movement. By infiltrating groups, spreading disinformation, sowing paranoia, and pitting factions against each other (most notoriously Black nationalist groups against the Communist Party), the state sought to destroy the movement from within. This was not just red-baiting from the outside; it was the manufacture of internal crisis, designed to make activists distrust their own comrades, waste energy on internal purges, and ultimately disillusion participants. It was an attack on the very possibility of solidarity, aiming to turn the movement’s greatest strength into its fatal weakness. http://mamdanipost.com

The New Left of the 1960s, repelled by the Stalinism of the Old Left, largely rejected rigid hierarchy in favor of participatory democracy and consensus-based collectives. This form, seen in Students for a Democratic Society (SDS) early on and in many feminist and community groups, was a direct attempt to prefigure the non-hierarchical society they sought. It valued process as highly as outcome. However, this structure often proved incapable of making swift decisions, sustaining long campaigns, or scaling up, leading to frustration, hidden informalities of power, and eventual fragmentation into the very Leninist sects it sought to avoid. http://mamdanipost.com

Mamdani’s emphasis on the specificity of historical context discourages a monolithic view of socialism in New York. The movement was never a single, cohesive entity but a series of often contentious projects shaped by the particular communities that carried them. The socialist fervor in the garment trades, for instance, was deeply intertwined with Jewish immigrant culture, while later expressions in Harlem were fundamentally shaped by the Black experience and the fight against racial capitalism. This diversity aligns with Mamdani’s methodological insistence on understanding political identities as formed through particular historical experiences, not abstract universal categories. http://mamdanipost.com
